New York, December 2009 - Global law firm White & Case LLP today announced the election of 33 new partners, effective 1 January 2010.

Americas

" Iker I. Arriola Peñalosa is based in Mexico City and has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He is a Mexican-qualified corporate lawyer who practices in bank and corporate finance, M&A transactions, securities, financial restructuring, privatizations and antitrust.

" Noah A. Brumfield has been named a partner in our Global Antitrust Practice. Based in Washington, DC, and qualified in the District of Columbia and California, he is an antitrust lawyer who specializes in M&A transactions, as well as competitor collaborations, patent settlements, intellectual property licensing and distribution agreements.

" John H. Chung is based in New York and has been named a partner in our Global Antitrust Practice. He is a New York-qualified lawyer with wide-ranging experience in civil and criminal antitrust matters, complex litigation, bankruptcy matters, white-collar and corporate investigations and international arbitration.

" Clement N. Fondufe has been named a partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. Based in New York, he is qualified in New York and the Republic of Cameroon. He specializes in the oil and gas sector and has broad experience representing both public and corporate clients in the development and financing of complex refinery and petrochemical projects, the privatization of state-owned enterprises and joint venture transactions.

" Scott Greissman is based in New York and has been named a partner in our Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice. He is a New York and Florida-qualified bankruptcy lawyer who covers a broad range of finance matters, with an emphasis on out-of-court workouts and Chapter 11 proceedings for secured and unsecured creditors.

" Daniel A. Hagan has been named a partner in our Global Project Finance Practice in Washington, DC. Qualified in the District of Columbia and New Jersey, he is an energy lawyer who advises and represents energy clients before the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and state regulatory agencies and in federal and state courts.

" R. Jake Mincemoyer has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. Based in New York, he is a New York-qualified bank finance lawyer who represents lead agents and underwriters in leveraged finance transactions.

" Aalok Sharma has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice in Los Angeles. He is qualified in California and specializes in general litigation and alternative dispute resolution, representing individuals, small businesses and large corporations in trade secret and unfair competition cases, real property disputes, trust and probate litigation, business torts and disputes among partners and shareholders.

" Michael Shepherd is based in Miami and has been named a partner in our Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice. A Florida and Virginia-qualified lawyer, he specializes in business reorganization and restructuring matters, including representation of debtors in possession, creditors committees, equity security holders and institutional creditors.

" Mara E. Topping has been named a partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice in Washington, DC. Qualified in the District of Columbia and New York, she is an investment funds lawyer who concentrates on domestic and international private equity investment funds, venture capital funds and hedge funds. She serves sponsors and managers of, and investors in, funds that invest in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

" James S. Trainor Jr. has been named a partner in our Global Intellectual Property Practice. Based in New York and qualified in New York and Massachusetts, he specializes in patent litigation and counseling and technology licensing for companies in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, technology and cosmetics industries.

" Jason K. Webber is based in New York and has been named a partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. " Brendan G. Woodard has been named a partner in our Global Intellectual Property Practice in New York. " Börries Ahrens has been named a partner in our Global Antitrust Practice. Based in Hamburg, he is a German-qualified lawyer who advises clients on all aspects of EU and German competition law, including representing clients in merger control proceedings before the EU Commission and the Bundeskartellamt, Germany's national competition regulator.

" Sami Al-Louzi has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in Abu Dhabi, he is a Jordanian-qualified lawyer who advises local and international clients on joint ventures, M&A transactions and equity and debt private placements in the power, water, oil and gas, petrochemical, securities and telecommunications industries.

" Zeynep Çakmak has been named a partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. Based in Ankara, she is qualified in Turkey. She is also a specialist on administrative law and handles environmental cases.

" Saul Daniel has been named a partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. Based in London, he is an English-qualified lawyer who advises utilities, sponsors, lenders and governments on a range of energy matters. He has particular experience in the international power and gas markets in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

" Alexander Dlouhy has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He is a German-qualified lawyer and is based in Düsseldorf. He focuses on M&A transactions, energy projects and energy regulatory matters.

" Mark Glengarry is based in London and has been named a partner in our Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice. Qualified in England and New Zealand, he specializes in financial restructurings and insolvencies but also undertakes general bank finance work, acting for lenders, debtors and insolvency administrators.

" Simela Karasavidis has been named a partner in our Global Project Finance Practice in London. Qualified in England and Australia, she has extensive experience in Private Finance Initiative and Public Private Partnership projects and has acted for private and public sector clients in the defense, education, health and government sectors, both in the UK and internationally.

" Charlie Lightfoot is based in London and has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. An English-qualified litigation lawyer, he deals with a mix of domestic and international commercial litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, with a focus on cross-border matters involving international elements and multiple jurisdictions.

" Doron Loewinger has been named a partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice. Based in London, he is a New York and Israeli-qualified securities lawyer with experience in US Securities and Exchange Commission matters. He works with both issuers and underwriters in a wide range of US and cross-border private and public finance transactions, including initial public offerings and issuances of senior and high-yield debt, equity and hybrid securities.

" Sebnem Önder has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Based in Ankara, she specializes in corporate and finance transactions in the mining, oil and gas, energy, defense, transportation and construction sectors.

" Axel Pajunk is based in Frankfurt and has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. " Stephen Ravenscroft has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. " Koichiro Ohashi is based in Tokyo and has been named a partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice.
