09.09.2026

Led by Hamburg partner Dr Amir-Said Ghassabeh, Taylor Wessing advised RH Aero Systems, a leading global provider of aviation support equipment and services, on the European legal aspects of the strategic investment by Capitol Meridian Partners and coordinated the relevant European workstreams. A particular focus of Taylor Wessing’s advice was on the regulatory aspects of the cross-border transaction. The transaction successfully closed on 1 September 2026.

Capitol Meridian Partners is a Washington, D.C.-based investment firm focused on partnering with market-leading businesses operating at the intersection of commercial and government markets. The investment is intended to support RH Aero Systems’ next phase of growth, further accelerate its global expansion and expand the company’s capabilities and service offering. Following completion of the transaction, RH Aero Systems’ existing shareholders, including the Moeller family, remain significant investors in the business.

RH Aero Systems is a leading global provider of aviation support equipment and services. The company was formed through the combination of Rhinestahl and HYDRO under a single global brand. RH Aero Systems provides ground support equipment, OEM-licensed engine and airframe tooling solutions, engineered system solutions and lifecycle services to OEMs, MROs, airlines, military operators and other customers worldwide.

Taylor Wessing previously advised Rhinestahl on its acquisition of HYDRO Systems KG in 2024. The subsequent combination of Rhinestahl and HYDRO under the RH Aero Systems brand created a leading global provider of aviation equipment and technical services. By advising on the investment by Capitol Meridian Partners, Taylor Wessing has now supported RH Aero Systems on another important step in its international growth journey.

Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP acted as lead legal counsel to RH Aero Systems on the transaction, led by Jeremy Hayden and Andrew Field. Taylor Wessing would like to thank Jeremy, Andrew and the entire Taft team for the excellent and trusted collaboration throughout the transaction.

In advising on the European aspects of the transaction, the German Taylor Wessing team was supported by Gilles Amsallem and Sebastien Pottemain from Taylor Wessing’s French team, as well as by Winston Taylor in the United Kingdom and Orsingher Ortu in Italy. Taylor Wessing would particularly like to thank Sarah Cole, Paolo Palmigiano and Jack Turner of Winston Taylor and Edoardo Cazzato of Orsingher Ortu, together with their respective teams, for their excellent support and collaboration.
